Sleek, Minimal and Made for Modern Living in Barton on Sea

Clean lines, clever storage and a beautifully understated finish come together in this contemporary handleless kitchen in Barton on Sea. Featuring our Super Matt White finish from the Novus Collection, this project is a great example of how a minimal kitchen design can still feel practical, warm and highly functional.

The kitchen was designed around the client’s vision for a modern, minimalist space. They wanted a clean and uncluttered look, but without compromising on storage or everyday usability. Every element of the design was therefore carefully considered, creating a streamlined kitchen that looks calm and effortless while working hard behind the scenes.

The Super Matt White cabinetry creates a bright and timeless foundation, helping the room feel fresh, open and understated. To add definition, a black profile system was introduced, providing a subtle contrast against the white cabinetry and giving the overall design a sharper, more contemporary edge. The handleless style keeps the finish clean and simple, allowing the quality of the materials and the precision of the details to take centre stage.

Behind the minimalist exterior, this kitchen is packed with intelligent storage solutions. Two pull-out larder units provide generous storage for groceries and everyday essentials, making it easy to keep everything organised and accessible. The glass-sided V8 Novus pan drawers offer a practical way to store cookware, keeping pots, pans and utensils close to hand without disrupting the clean look of the kitchen.

A Kesseböhmer pull-down shelf adds another clever feature, making it easier to access items stored higher up without needing to stretch over the worktop. These kinds of details are especially important in a modern kitchen, where the aim is often to keep surfaces clear and the overall design feeling calm. By building practical storage into the layout from the beginning, the kitchen remains easy to use every day while maintaining its sleek, minimal appearance.

To complement the crisp white cabinetry, the client chose Minerva worktops, supplied by Mitchells Worktops. Their seamless finish works perfectly with the minimalist style of the kitchen, creating a smooth and cohesive look throughout the space. The design is completed with NEFF appliances, bringing premium performance and a refined finish that integrates beautifully into the overall scheme.

This Barton on Sea kitchen shows how simplicity can still make a strong design statement. From the handleless cabinetry and contrasting black profile to the abundance of smart storage solutions, every part of the kitchen has been planned with modern living in mind. The result is a sleek, contemporary space that delivers exactly what the client wanted: clean, understated design with everything needed for everyday life cleverly built in.
